Foreword - Presentation

This is my first post. How exciting !

This post is meant to be a presentation of and a foreword to the blog.

I'm a French, male, from the countryside, atheist. I'm doing a PhD in organic chemistry in Brisbane, Australia. I'll write in English and in French, depending on the mood. I aim to translate every article into French and English, though we will see if it happens... I'm not fluent in English (yet), I apologize for any mistakes, and for the low quality of my writing. I hope it will get better. French should be fine though.

Why writing in a blog ? Basically, I have been analysing things around me since I'm able to speak. But I haven't really written anything. What a waste of ideas. I've recently been told that I should write all of these thoughts. I always say that someone only understands something once they have been explaining it to someone else. That is the main goal of this blog. Feel free to comment, criticize, ask, start a discussion.

I intend to write about anything I've been given sufficient thoughts and spent enough time on to produce something interesting. I assume the first articles will be a bit superficial... The topic will probably be more related to science, ecology, politics and economy, and some other: we'll see.

Je considère ce premier post comme une présentation et une préface à ce blog.

Je suis français, mâle, provincial, athé. Je suis doctorant en chimie organique à Brisbane, en Australie. J'écrirai en anglais et en français, suivant l'humeur. J'essaireai de traduire chaque article en français et en anglais, à voir...

Pourquoi écrire un blog ? J'ai toujours analysé les choses qui m'entourent, depuis que je sais parler. Mais je n'ai jamais vraiment écrit quoique ce soit. Beaucoup d'idées perdues ou trop peu développées. On m'a récemment dit que je devrait écrire. Je dis toujours qu'on ne comprend vraiment quelquechose que lorsqu'on l'a expliqué à quelqu'un. C'est le but principal de ce blog. Commentez, critiquez, posez des questions, entamez une discussion.

Je compte écrire sur divers sujets, à partir du moment où j'y aurait consacré suffisament de temps pour en sortir quelquechose d'intéressant.Je suppose aue les premiers articles seront assez superficiels... Les sujets lorgneront plutôt du côté des sciences, de l'écologie, de la politique et de l'économie, et d'autres encore: on verra bien.
